Y'all grow veg in pots? I'm such a gardening noob that that would never occur to me. Duh.

Is it easy (think: BLACK BLACK BLACK thumb)? I want some zukes.

We grew a few things in pots this year, mainly because we didn't have enough space in the actual garden. The advantage is that the spot gets more sun, and the soil is generally warmer for plants that like that kind of thing. (both the zucchini and tomato plants that we have in pots are going nuts.) The disadvantage is that you have to be very diligent about watering. (We've actually had some blossom-end rot in the zucchini)

I don't think it's any harder than regular gardening: put pot in location that gets good sun, fill pot with dirt, plant stuff in pot, water regularly.

We'll probably do the watermelons in pots next year. With all the rain and cold weather, they are sad.

"isn't any harder than regular gardening" may not be easy enough for me. I'm a gardening 'tard.

:sigh:
